Summary: Pet Travel Checklist collects no data that identifies you. Your pets, trips and document photos are stored only on your device. The app fetches public rules updates and keeps an anonymous count of app opens (see below); neither includes any pet or trip details. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking.
Data on your device
- Pet profiles and trips: names, species, dates of birth, microchip and vaccination dates, routes and travel dates you enter are saved in the app's private storage on your iPhone or iPad. They are included in your device backups (iCloud or computer) if you have backups turned on; we have no access to them.
- Document photos: photos you take with the camera or choose from your library are copied into the app's private storage. The app asks for camera access only when you tap "Take photo". Choosing a photo uses the system photo picker, which shares only the photo you pick.
- Reminders: deadline reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; they are not sent to any server.
- Calendar: if you tap "Add to Calendar", the app asks for permission to add events and writes the deadlines into your calendar. It cannot read your calendar.
- Sharing: checklists and calendar files are created on your device and shared only where you send them with the share sheet.
Network requests
Apart from the anonymous usage count below, the only network request the app makes is the optional rules update: once a day (you can turn this off in About), or when you tap "Check for rule updates", the app downloads a public file from pettravel-data.eralpbayraktar.com. The request contains no identifiers and no pet or trip data. Like any web server, our server and Cloudflare, Inc. (our content delivery network) process the connecting IP address to deliver the file; our server keeps standard access logs for up to 14 days for security and operations, and we do not use them to identify anyone. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in delivering current rules securely).
Links to official sources, this policy and support open in your browser or mail app and are governed by those apps and websites.
Anonymous usage count
When the app is installed from the App Store, each time you open it (at most once every 30 minutes) it sends one request to app-ping.eralpbayraktar.com with only the app's name, its version and whether this is the very first open. It contains no device or user identifier and no device data, and no IP address is stored. We use it only to count how often the app is opened: it is not used for advertising or tracking, not shared with anyone and not linked to you.
This website
This website sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts or analytics. When you tap the App Store button, the page sends one anonymous request to this server so we can count taps; it carries no identifier. The server's standard access logs (kept up to 14 days, as above) record page requests.
What we do not do
We do not collect names, e-mail addresses, locations, device identifiers or usage statistics linked to you, do not use cookies or advertising identifiers, and do not sell or share data. The app contains no third-party SDKs.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data that identifies anyone.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data from the app, there is nothing to access or delete on our side; deleting the app deletes all its data from your device. You can contact us at [email protected] and you may complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes
We will update this page if the app's data practices change; the date above shows the current version.
